Our client, an international fintech company, is seeking a Regulatory Legal Director. This position may be located in Luxembourg, Paris, Brussels, Dublin, and Berlin.
In this role, you will report to the Head of Legal UK & EU and the CEO of Luxembourg. You will be pivotal in navigating and shaping the company’s regulatory landscape in the EU.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring compliance with evolving regulations and strategically guiding the business through regulatory changes.
- Overseeing the regulatory aspects of online terms and conditions.
- Managing and inspiring a team of legal professionals to foster a culture of collaboration and high performance.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in a law firm or in-house counsel within a regulated financial entity, with expertise in EU regulations, particularly in banking, payments, and fintech.
- At least 4/5 years specialized in regulatory.
- Ideally, experience in Luxembourg.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and within a matrixed organization.
- Ability to design and implement efficient processes.
- Proven ability to lead legal teams, influence stakeholders, and make strategic decisions.
- Excellent communication skills: fluency in English (French is a plus) and strong drafting skills.
- Detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks, and willing to work across time zones.
