(Sr.) Sales Manager Pharma (m/f/d)
The role is based in Germany (remote). This key position will involve developing and expanding the customer portfolio in the pharmaceutical industry across Germany, Austria, and parts of Switzerland.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will work closely with the company’s leadership and be entrusted with fostering and growing relationships with key pharmaceutical customers, including CROs and innovators. Your main focus will be increasing sales through strategic prospecting, maintaining existing relationships, and building long-term business partnerships.
You will also be responsible for:
- Gaining a deep understanding of your customers' needs and providing tailored solutions, whether through products, formulations, or technical assistance.
- Engaging with R&D and formulation decision-makers as well as buyers and quality teams to establish lasting business relationships.
- Staying up to date with industry trends and company developments by attending seminars and collaborating with colleagues.
- Managing customer interactions and sales activities through CRM, ensuring smooth reporting and coordination with the broader team.
- Representing the company at key industry trade shows and preparing for customer visits.
- Contributing to the preparation of annual budgets and strategic plans.
Your Profile:
The successful candidate will bring:
- A solid technical background with the pharmaceutical industry.
- A university degree in pharmacy, chemistry, or biology (or related fields) is highly beneficial.
- 8–10 years of experience in sales or business development, particularly with suppliers to the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical development process, particularly at the R&D level.
- A curious and analytical mindset with the ability to digest and present scientific data effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- A willingness to travel regularly across the DACH region.
- Experience with modern IT tools.
