Location: Greater Munich Area | International Scope

We are seeking a Global Category Manager IT for a leading company in the lifestyle and personal care sector, sited in the Greater Munich Area. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing global procurement strategies within the software and digital services category, ensuring optimal supplier performance and cost efficiency. If you are a strategic procurement professional with in-depth knowledge of IT markets and global sourcing, this is an excellent opportunity to drive impactful change in a globally active organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of global category strategies in the area of software, digital platforms, and IT services
• Identify and drive key initiatives to improve cost efficiency, supplier performance, and long-term business value
• Build and manage a high-performing global vendor ecosystem in alignment with corporate procurement strategy
• Conduct complex RFPs, negotiate contracts, and identify opportunities for consolidation based on data analysis
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and align procurement goals accordingly
• Partner with operational procurement teams to ensure successful global implementation of strategic initiatives

Your Profile:

• Proven experience in strategic IT procurement, particularly with major vendors such as Microsoft, SAP, and IT consultancies
• Strong understanding of software architectures, licensing models, and product portfolios (e.g., MS Azure, O365, SAP Ariba)
• Ability to work with senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional discussions around purchasing strategies
• Experience in complex, matrix-driven organizations with international structures
• Excellent analytical skills and experience managing global sourcing projects and negotiations
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
