Our client is an investment firm specializing in both traditional and alternative investments. The Luxembourg entity is a human sized team mainly composed of professionals in Finance, Portfolio Management, Tax, Risk, Compliance, ESG experts.
We are looking for an experienced Tax Coordinator to join their team. This is a newly created position designed to strengthen their operations. The ideal candidate will be fluent in German, as their headquarters are in Germany and most communications will be conducted in German. The Tax Coordinator will focus primarily on alternative funds, while also supporting their traditional investment operations.
Location: Luxembourg City. Remote work permitted within legal limits of cross-border agreements

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with tax advisors to ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations.
- Coordination of the preparation of tax returns (direct and indirect taxes) of the managed funds and SPVs.
- Manage and oversee direct tax matters related to alternative investments.
- Assist in coordinating legal aspects of board meetings.
- Analyzes regarding reporting obligations according to DAC-6
- Implementation of adjustments in tax legislation into existing internal processes.
- Coordination/support of transfer pricing studies
- Deadline and budget control regarding tax issues
- Reporting obligations under FATCA/CRS
- Liaise with the German headquarters and ensure seamless communication.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of tax strategies and policies.
- Ensure accurate and timely tax reporting and filings.
- Provide tax-related guidance and support to the Luxembourg team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master degree in Law, Tax, Accounting, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a Big 4 company is highly desirable.
- Experience working in Luxembourg is a significant advantage.
- Strong knowledge of direct tax issues and regulations.
- Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken).
- Excellent coordination and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
