Can you imagine leading space solutions that connect people, monitor the Earth, or explore the universe? At Thales Alenia Space, that’s just the beginning.
Our client is a global joint venture between Thales (67%) and Leonardo (33%), with over 40 years of experience developing cutting-edge space technologies for telecommunications, navigation, exploration, defense, science, and environmental monitoring.
In Spain, they are a technological leader, with over 1,200 employees and an annual turnover exceeding €320 million, exporting 40% of their production to the Middle East, North Africa, and Latin America.
Now, we’re looking for a Technical Lead PDA who wants to make a lasting impact — on Earth and far beyond.
Your Mission As a Technical Lead PDA, you will design and lead the architecture of complex space systems that integrate hardware, software, radio frequency, power electronics, communications, and more. From Earth-observing satellites to systems that connect continents and guide interplanetary missions, your leadership will drive innovation.
You will serve as the technical focal point for your project — working closely with the client and having real influence on key decisions:
- Lead the technical design and system architecture strategy.
- Ensure the technological, industrial, and economic feasibility of the solution.
- Apply a holistic, systems-thinking approach to tackle complex challenges with innovative and efficient solutions.
- Evaluate risks, define mitigation strategies, and strike the optimal balance between performance, cost, and value.
Who We’re Looking For
- A degree in a technical field such as telecommunications, industrial engineering, software, physics, or mathematics.
- At least 7 years of experience, including 2+ years in the space sector.
- Strong cross-disciplinary knowledge in systems engineering, electronics, RF, communications, or software.
- Proven ability to make strategic technical decisions, with experience in model-based engineering, simulation, and optimization.
- Fluency in English (Spanish or French is a plus).
- Experience in systems engineering and product reuse strategies is highly desirable.
Why Join Thales Alenia Space?
- Because they offer careers, not just jobs, with real growth opportunities.
- Because they see space as the new frontier for building a better, more sustainable world.
