Are you an experienced Credit Controller?

Morgan Philips Recruitment are delighted to be bringing to market a Credit Control position for a software client of ours based in Edinburgh.This role has come live due to continued growth within the finance team and reports directly to the Credit Control Team Leader. 

Hybrid working 
Circa £25k

  • Posting daily cash receipts, chasing, and tracking missing remittances.
  • Maintaining & monitoring Credit Control inbox daily escalating as required.
  • Processing new account applications, credit checks, monitoring performance Tracker.
  • Chase overdue debtor balances ensuring monthly debtor/cash targets are met.
  • Ensure prompt reply to client and internal feedback.
  • Forwarding monthly statements to clients to keep them updated on debt collection activities.
  • Monitor payment history to identify changes and take necessary actions.
  • Recommendations and advice on queries regarding accounts receivable.
  • Recommending accounts are suspended for non-payment.
  • Agreeing payment plans, issuing copy invoices, arranging customer refunds for approval.
  • Maintain proper records of client accounts and purchasing activities.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliation of debtor ledger accounts.
  • Building external/internal relationships with customers/colleagues within the business.
  • Conduct business operations in compliance with standard policies and regulations.
  • Ad Hoc duties as and when required by the Management Team
  • Prompt resolution of disputes, setting up agreed payment plans, providing missing copy invoices and customer refunds.
  • Involvement in Projects as and when required.
Skills and Experience: 
  • Experience of working in a Credit Control or AR function 
  • Intermediate MS Word and Excel skills.
  • Experience of implementing and following procedures.
  • Numerate, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills – able to communicate to internal and external customers in a professional manner.
  • Planning and organisational skills; able to establish efficient and appropriate plans for self and others and adapt quickly and effectively to unexpected changes whilst still ensuring objectives are met.

This role is based in our client's Edinburgh City Centre office 2-3 days per week with the remainder from home.
