Key responsibilities
- You will focus on customer acquisition, development and retention, and where empowered cross-functional teams collaborate effectively to acquire, develop and retain our most important, highest potential customers.
- Passionate about working directly with industrial customers to identify and engineer out the risks associated with the movement of goods; who can communicate and engage with different levels in the customer organization, from shopfloor to boardroom.
- Understand the importance of identifying potential and focusing their efforts and activities to realise the highest potential opportunities; and who are able and willing to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to acquire, develop and retain high potential, high value customers.
- You will be covering Yorkshire and the NothWest with preference to be in Manchester. This area has a high potential given the presence of some of the biggest Multinationals and as a strategic logistics hub. The role also opens to future opportunities for career development, for example with the creation of new global key account management roles.
- Using CRM and Power BI data to analyze and determine portfolio priorities, to prioritize and phase activities and to proactively plan customer facing activities.
- 8 years+ experience in B2B sales, account management and/or business development in a similar technical sector in the UK. Must have UK passport.
- Experience with team selling and supporting multi-location parent accounts.
- Understands market dynamics and different customers/audiences. Makes his/her analysis based on information technology and data.
- The role requires significant traveling within the Northwest and Yorkshire, 2 days a week on average for customer meetings. Occasionally to other UK locations and some international travel twice a year.
