HR Manager Sought For A Global Manufacturing Business based in Livingston – Permanent role – Flexible working – Office based – Excellent Benefits ​

Morgan Philips HR Recruitment are delighted to be supporting one of our key clients who are recruiting for an HR Manager.

Reporting to the CEO with a dotted reporting into the Head of HR you will be working in a standalone role, have full responsibility for all aspects of HR, support the senior management team in the UK and Europe, develop HR initiatives and drive HR strategy in line with organisational objectives and legislative requirements.  

The HR Manager will be required to be based in the office on a full-time basis (37.5 hrs.) but hours can be negotiated and occasional travel abroad is required.

Salary: £50-60K plus bonus up to 10%

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with the CEO and Head of HR to design and implement HR initiatives in line with business needs and strive towards continuous process improvement.
  • Responsible for all HR processes and strategies (recruitment, employee onboarding, talent management, employee engagement, retention strategies and performance management).
  • Develop, implement and update HR policies and procedures. 
  • Act as the first point of contact for all manager and employee queries.
  • Lead and coach line managers on various ER issues (absence management, performance management, disciplinary, grievance matters).
  • Ensure that compensation and benefit strategies are consistent with the market and in line with business strategy. Fully manage all benefit schemes including administration, annual reviews and providing information to managers and employees.
  • Identify, develop, and implement training and development programs in line with business objectives.
  • Develop a positive working environment, encouraging a proactive approach to people's wellbeing and high performance.
  • Maintain knowledge of the relevant legislation and governmental reporting regulations affecting the HR function.
  • Provide the senior management team with employee turnover, absence, headcount and compensation reports.
Experience and Knowledge:
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR Management/relevant work experience/CIPD Qualifications.
  • Broad generalist HR experience.
  • Experience in standalone position.
  • Prior payroll experience would be beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of UK legislation is essential
  • Good understanding of Dutch employment legislation would be advantageous
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships across the business
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Well versed in standard Microsoft Office packages such as Work and Excel
