Talent and Leadership Partner (12-Month Mat Cover to start Jan 2026)
About Our Client:
Join a leading player in the Leisure industry as they strive to develop and nurture their talent to drive business success. As a key player in the Talent team, you will work within a vibrant head office environment, directly impacting the growth and development of high-potential populations.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Talent and Leadership Partner to join our client's team on a 12-month maternity cover basis. This role is pivotal in supporting Head Office and regional teams by providing strategic guidance and development support to early talent programmes and high-potential talent. You will coach and challenge senior stakeholders, drive program management, and champion talent management processes across various functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a strategic partner to five key business functions, focusing on talent development and leadership initiatives.
- Manage and support corporate graduate schemes, including HR and finance graduates, overseeing approximately 40-50 individuals at any given time.
- Facilitate and contribute to twice-yearly talent calibration sessions, identifying high-potential individuals and supporting their development pathways.
- Advocate for talent management processes, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and employee growth.
- Implement and maintain a talent management system, providing guidance to staff on using this new tool effectively for personal and professional development.
- Collaborate with the Learning and Talent Development team, which comprises approximately 100 personnel, to drive comprehensive development initiatives.
- Develop and deliver development centers aimed at enhancing leadership skills and professional growth.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to individuals at various levels within the organization, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent, with a strong understanding of HR principles and practices, particularly in talent management and leadership development.
- A recognized coaching qualification, demonstrating your ability to influence and support senior leaders effectively.
- Proven experience in program management, preferably in a corporate environment, with a focus on talent development initiatives.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and partner with senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze talent data and make informed decisions that drive employee development and organizational success.
- Experience in the Tourism and Leisure or Retail industry is preferred but not essential; familiarity with corporate graduate schemes is highly beneficial.
