Morgan Philips is delighted to partner with our client based in Glasgow City Centre who are keen to enhance their current team with the addition of an experienced Treasury Manager. You’ll be joining a high performing team within an organisation who have year on year enjoyed successful growth through careful acquisition.
The role assumes responsibility for leading a team performing client money reconciliations and associated tasks. The team consists of an Assistant Manager and Team Leaders who report to this position and work to deliver an exceptionally high level of service performance on behalf of their internal and external customers. Key responsibilities for the role include:
  • Perform the day-to-day management of approximately circa 300 bank accounts
  • To effectively manage the bank posting and reconciliation process
  • To effectively manage delegated insurer claims floats and payments ensuring performed timeously and accurately
  • Design, create and monitor KPIs and SLAs for both off and on shore teams
  • Ensure SoX requirements are fully met
  • Represent Treasury function on all company led projects, ensuring deliverables are achieved
  • Maintain relationships with all departments to understand key dependencies of each area
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key business and industry (notably banks and merchants) stakeholders to ensure service delivery is of standard and any process or control changes are implemented in adherence with company policies
  • Review and improve current processes and practices to identify any changes required to meet banking and insurance industry standards
  • Review and re-engineer processes and practices to improve the efficiency and productivity
  • Assist in technical issues and utilise problem solving skills to achieve solutions
  • Ensure compliance is maintained relating to the handling of Client Money procedures within the team and at branch level
Previous Experience
The successful candidate will be an experienced treasury or cash professional, with proven experience managing a team. You will have had exposure to high volume and complex account management in a previous position. Strong communication skills are a requirement as you will liaise with many internal and external stakeholders, both in the UK and abroad. Strong Excel skills are a requirement, as is the ability to drive process improvement.  
Salary on offer for this position is £40,000 to £50,000.
