This position will play a critical role in designing and delivering innovative training programs for a portfolio of cardiology and surgical products. This includes supporting product updates, new indications, and enhancements. The specialist will serve as a key resource for clinical field teams and customers, providing expert guidance during procedures in OR and Cathlab, and representing the organization at educational events, conferences, and workshops across the APAC region.

This position will report to the APAC Education & Training Head and work closely with Country Leaders to identify educational needs, develop training strategies, and execute training initiatives. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is vital to ensure improved patient outcomes, increased therapy adoption, and enhanced clinical practices. Routine case support, ICU/OR/CCU training, and the development of updated training materials are also core responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion a “Patients First” philosophy to enhance outcomes and expand therapy adoption through clinical education and best practice training.
  • Create and deliver comprehensive training programs for cardiology and surgical therapies, targeting both internal teams and external healthcare professionals.
  • Provide expert clinical support and oversee case certification.
  • Support product launches and customer training events in collaboration with global and regional teams.
  • Conduct onboarding and certification programs, such as Product Training, tailored to country-specific needs.
  • Continuously improve training methodologies and certification processes to ensure excellence. 
  • Regularly update and refine training materials to reflect the latest best practices and product updates.
  • Partner with commercial teams to align clinical and business objectives, facilitating strategy meetings and progress reviews to drive outcomes and learning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Perfusionist, Specialized Cardiac Nursing) with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Medical degree in cardiology or a related field is preferred.
  • Substantial experience in cardiothoracic surgery, ICU/CCU, or TAVI procedures.
  • Familiarity with the product portfolio or other mechanical circulatory support devices.
  • Exceptional presentation and teaching skills, with a strong ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Commercial sales experience is an added advantage.
  • Recognized as a clinical expert with a proactive, results-driven approach and a collaborative mindset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively in academic and clinical environments.
  • Strategic thinker with proven organizational and time-management skills.
  • High level of professionalism, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrates flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes regionally.
