Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Merchandising Manager - Electrical Appliances to join our newly established office in Hong Kong. This is a pivotal role responsible for sourcing, supplier development, and product development across a wide range of electrical consumer devices, including home, kitchen, personal care, fitness, and garden appliances. As a key player in our product innovation and supply chain hub, you will contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality, cutting-edge technology that enhances everyday life.

Key Responsibilities

• Sourcing & Supplier Development:
  Identify and establish relationships with new suppliers while nurturing existing partnerships to ensure the best quality and pricing for our product lines.

• Product Development:
  Lead the development of new electrical appliance products from concept to market, collaborating with design, engineering, and marketing teams to create innovative solutions that meet consumer needs.

• Market Analysis:
  Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape, ensuring our product offerings remain relevant and appealing.

• Portfolio Management:
  Manage the product portfolio for electrical appliances, including lifecycle management, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to maximize sales and profitability.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  Work closely with internal teams, including category management, marketing, and supply chain, to ensure seamless product launches and alignment with overall business objectives.

• Quality Assurance:
  Collaborate closely with Quality & Engineering department on product testing and quality assurance processes to maintain our commitment to excellence and ensure compliance with industry standards.

• Strategic Planning:
  Contribute to the strategic planning of product lines and expansion initiatives, supporting the company's growth objectives in the European market.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in merchandising, product management, or sourcing within the electrical appliances or consumer electronics sectors.
• Proven track record of successful product development and supplier management for consumer devices
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Proficiency in market analysis tools and methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechatronic), or a related field
