Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Procurement Manager to join a leading organization in the energy sector. This role is critical for managing procurement activities, optimizing supply chain processes, and ensuring the efficient acquisition of goods and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement management and a proven ability to drive cost savings and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing:
  Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational goals, ensuring the selection of high-quality suppliers.

• Vendor Management:
  Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions.

• Cost Optimization:
  Analyze procurement data to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements, implementing best practices in procurement processes.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  Collaborate with various departments, including engineering, operations, and finance, to ensure alignment on procurement needs and objectives.

• Market Research:
  Conduct market analysis to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and supplier capabilities, leveraging insights to make informed procurement decisions.

• Compliance and Risk Management:
  Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations, managing risks associated with supplier performance and contract execution.

• Team Leadership:
  Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in procurement practices.

Qualifications

• Education:
  Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; a master’s degree or relevant certifications (CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.

• Experience:
  7+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role within the energy or industrial sector.

• Analytical Skills:
  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data-driven decision-making.

• Negotiation Skills:
  Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive results.

• Technical Proficiency:
  Proficient in procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).

• Interpersonal Skills:
  Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
