Our client is a Major European Fashion group representing several brands with up to a thousand retail stores in Europe. They are currently seeking a Supply Planner to join the Sourcing Office in Hong Kong.
This role will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end planning process and will serve as the key contact point with vendors in Asia, including China, Southeast Asia. The Supply Planner will work closely with suppliers, product managers, buyers, shipping team and head office to ensure timely and efficient production and delivery of all finished products.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate and manage the entire supply planning process, from collection and development time to production planning.
2. Serve as the main point of contact with vendors in Asia, including China, Southeast Asia to ensure smooth communication and collaboration.
3. Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of fabrics, samples, and prototypes for approval.
4. Collaborate with product managers and buyers to review and approve colors and prototypes for production.
5. Liaise with the shipping department to ensure accurate and timely shipment of finished products.
6. Maintain a detailed calendar for each article, tracking its progress from the beginning shipping date to the production date.
7. Work independently while coordinating with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure efficient supply planning and execution.
8. Report directly to the Managing Director Asia, providing regular updates on supply planning activities and vendor performance.
Your profile:
1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply planning, preferably in the fashion industry.
3. Strong knowledge of the end-to-end planning process, including collection and development time, production planning, and shipment coordination.
4. Ability to communicate directly with head office in Europe, manage senior stakeholder and lead and be accountable for projects
5. Experience working with vendors in Asia, particularly in China, Southeast Asia
6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders.
7. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
8. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
9. Analytical skills and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and familiarity with SAP etc.
