We are currently seeking a meticulous and knowledgeable Compliance Officer F/M with expertise in regulatory affairs to join the compliance team and work closely with the Head of Compliance of the bank. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the institution's adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and oversee compliance policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and internal standards.
- Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and reviews to identify potential areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor regulatory developments and updates, assess their impact on the organization, and ensure timely implementation of necessary changes.
- Provide expert guidance and advice to internal stakeholders on compliance matters, including regulatory interpretations, reporting obligations, and compliance training.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the compliance implications of new products, services, and business initiatives.
- Coordinate and support regulatory examinations, audits, and inquiries, including the preparation of documentation and responses as needed.
- Maintain comprehensive records of compliance activities, including risk assessments, audit findings, and corrective actions taken.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in compliance management, regulatory technology, and financial crime prevention.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CRCM, CAMS) is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or related roles within the banking or financial services industry.
- Fluent in English & French
