Our client, a single-family office with a real estate and hotel investment portfolio in Europe, the USA, and Asia, is seeking a Group Internal Auditor. With over five local offices covering activities in 6 countries, this group centralizes its activities from its offices in Luxembourg City.
You will be part of a small team highly qualified in real estate. You will report to the Group's Internal Audit Director and work closely with the CEO.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Lead and be accountable for planning and executing risk-based audits under the guidance of the Group's Internal Audit Director.
- Deliver high-quality audit reports.
- Discuss and align audit findings with responsible stakeholders.
- Follow up on the status of remediation actions with the remediation owners and discuss with the Internal Audit Director before closure.
- Participate in developing the use of data analytics in planning and executing audits.
- Participate in business projects or ad-hoc assignments (e.g., investigations), contributing risk and control expertise and analytical and investigative skills.
- Prepare Group Reports and presentations for Board of Directors meetings.
- Keep up to date with business and industry developments and emerging risks.
- Maintains positive and collaborative professional relationships with local teams and global stakeholders.
Your profile:
- University degree in Finance, Management or Audit
- At least 3/4 years of validated experience in external audit, preferably in the Real Estate, Hospitality, or Commercial sectors.
- Fluency in French and English is required. Speaking Spanish is an asset.
- Ability to manage projects autonomously (reflection, analysis, implementation, training).
- Good analytical skills and thoroughness.
- Good command of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Tact and discretion combined with a high sense of ethics.
- This is an entirely on-site position, but it may require some travel in Europe (approximately 10-15%).
