Our client, a leading company in the transport industry, is seeking a Junior Legal Counsel for their Luxembourg office.
Key Responsibilities
This newly created position offers a diverse legal challenge, involving work across corporate, transactional, and banking sectors in a dynamic international environment.Corporate & Banking Legal Tasks
- Support corporate governance initiatives under the supervision of the Head of Corporate Legal.
- Ensure compliance with financing documents and adherence to all legal requirements.
- Assist with banking transactions, including financing and refinancing, while coordinating between parties.
- Provide guidance on Group Delegated Authorities, ensuring proper governance and control mechanisms.
- Offer general legal support on Luxembourg legal matters and advise internal stakeholders on regulatory issues.
Transactional Legal Support
- Assist the Head of Corporate Legal with transactions related to Luxembourg-specific matters
- Manage the formation of companies and appointments of key personnel.
- Provide ad hoc legal assistance on corporate and banking law topics.
Your profile
- Qualified lawyer with at least 1-2 years of relevant experience in Luxembourg law, gained in Law firms, In-house legal roles, or Legal positions in Luxembourg.
- Strong knowledge of corporate governance and banking law.
- Fluent in English; French is an asset.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and ready to take initiative.
- Exceptional communication skills, able to explain complex legal matters clearly.
- Highly organized, methodical, with great attention to detail.
- Problem-solver with a "can-do" attitude.
