Our client, an international industrial group, is seeking a skilled Internal Auditor to join their growing team in Luxembourg as part of a newly created position.
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting internal audits across the group. You will join a multicultural team of five professionals, providing a collaborative environment where your insights will contribute to the company’s continuous improvement and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of risk management and internal control mechanisms.
- Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and internal guidelines, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Assist in the design and execution of the annual audit plan, aligning with the broader internal audit strategy.
- Lead audit projects from initiation to completion, covering planning, risk assessment, and evaluation of internal controls.
- Track the progress and implementation of agreed recommendations and ensure action plans are effectively executed.
- Produce detailed reports that outline key findings, and present these insights to senior management.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in internal audit or a similar role, ideally with a background in consulting or a professional services firm.
- Fluent in English with proficiency in German; knowledge of Luxembourgish is considered an advantage.
- Highly analytical, able to work independently, and adept at problem-solving.
- Familiarity with ERP systems; prior experience with SAP is an asset.
