Our client is an expanding Asian company that will be developing a new business unit within the Biotech sector, specializing in Dermatology. Therefore, prior experience in this therapeutic area is essential.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, business development, and operational performance of the unit, ensuring the growth and profitability of the business within the rapidly evolving biotech and life sciences industry.
This role requires a deep understanding of the biotech sector, particularly in dermatology, as well as strong leadership and commercial acumen to drive business results in a highly competitive and regulated market.
Lead the development and execution of business strategies to drive growth and maximize profitability in the dermatology biotech sector.
Identify new market opportunities, conduct competitive analysis, and assess potential for business expansion and partnerships.
Align business unit goals with overall corporate objectives and ensure consistent delivery on financial and operational targets.
Business Development and Sales:
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, industry influencers, and regulatory bodies.
Oversee the development and execution of marketing and sales strategies to position the company’s biotech products in the dermatology space.
Operational Leadership:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the business unit, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to company policies and industry regulations.
Lead cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, regulatory affairs, and marketing, to ensure the successful launch and delivery of products.
Monitor performance metrics and take corrective action where necessary to ensure the business unit operates optimally.
Financial Management:
Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for the business unit.
Ensure the financial health of the unit, implementing cost controls and monitoring revenue generation.
Drive profitability through strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
Team Leadership and Development:
Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Ensure talent development through training, coaching, and performance management.
Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
Regulatory and Compliance Oversight:
Stay up to date with industry regulations, trends, and scientific advancements related to biotech and dermatology.
Ensure compliance with all local and international regulatory requirements for product development, manufacturing, and distribution.
