Backend Technical Director (Fully Remote)

Company Overview:
A global crypto firm that has a strong presence across APAC and Latin America, looking to grow their operations over the upcoming years. As they continue to expand and evolve, they're seeking a talented Backend Technical Director to lead the backend engineering team and oversee the development of complex, high-performance systems in the crypto space. 

Job Description:

• Assist the CTO in formulating and executing the company’s technology strategy, ensuring that technology supports the company’s strategic objectives and long-term development plans.
• Lead and manage the technology team, including recruitment, training, and performance management, motivating team members to achieve optimal performance.
• Guide and drive product development, ensuring the technical quality, innovation, and timeliness of products.
• Ensure the stability, security, and scalability of the technology platform, managing risks related to the technology infrastructure.
• Collaborate closely with other departments, especially product management, sales, and customer support teams, to ensure technology supports the realization of business needs.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 10 years of technical management experience, with management experience of at least two teams and over 3 years of experience in trading system projects.
• A global perspective and cross-cultural communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and coordinate teams across different locations. English can be used as the working language.
• Excellent problem-solving ability and strategic thinking, able to formulate long-term development strategies in a rapidly changing environment.
• Outstanding leadership and team-building skills, able to motivate team members and drive the team towards achieving common goals.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels.
• Strong architectural design skills and problem-solving ability, with the capacity to assist the team in resolving specific issues when necessary.
