Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and proactive Cloud Security Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will take the lead in implementing and managing security controls within cloud environments to protect sensitive data and critical applications. You will be instrumental in engineering secure cloud architectures, automating defense mechanisms, and ensuring compliance with security standards and regulations across our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent the Information Security team in Cloud Centers of Excellence and Steering Committees.

• Design, implement, and maintain secure cloud environments by configuring cloud-native security services and automating security processes.

• Engineer and configure technical controls such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and encryption protocols in cloud environments.

• Conduct technical risk assessments using vulnerability scanning and penetration testing tools; develop automated mitigation strategies.

• Develop and execute incident response playbooks tailored for cloud environments, integrating SIEM and SOAR tools for effective response.

• Ensure cloud compliance with internal policies and external regulations through audits, certifications, and governance controls.

• Educate employees and stakeholders on cloud security best practices and promote a culture of security awareness.

• Monitor evolving cloud security threats and recommend improvements to enhance overall security posture.

Required Skills:

• Proven expertise in cloud security, with hands-on experience in AWS, Azure, Alibaba Cloud, or other major cloud platforms (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).

• Skilled in using cloud security solutions, EDR tools, and cloud posture management platforms.

• Strong understanding of security frameworks such as NIST 800-171, MITRE ATT&CK, or similar standards.

• Proficiency in automating security tasks and managing incident response in complex cloud environments.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in cross-functional teams.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Comfortable working across multiple time zones and collaborating with global teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.

• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Cloud Security, IT, or cybersecurity-related fields.

• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms and security technologies.

• Certifications such as CCSP, AWS Certified Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or equivalent are preferred.
