Data Scientist (ML)

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Scientist (Machine Learning) to join our team. You will be responsible for researching, developing, and training deep learning models while collaborating closely with our data and engineering teams. Your work will involve processing structured and unstructured data, building scalable ML pipelines, and ensuring models remain relevant as we expand into new markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, fine-tune, and deploy deep learning models, ranging from simple algorithms to complex multi-modal transformers.
• Collaborate with data engineers and ML engineers to ensure model scalability and performance.
• Design and implement data collection and cleaning processes.
• Monitor and retrain models based on data changes and market expansion.
• Solve complex ML problems and manage projects effectively.
• Communicate progress and findings to the Head of ML.
• Perform other duties relevant to the position as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in PyTorch and ML libraries (e.g., Hugging Face, PyTorch Lightning, Scikit-learn).
• Strong understanding of deep learning advancements, especially transformers (e.g., ViT, BeiT, GPT, LLMs).
• Strong Python and SQL programming skills.
• Note: Automated ML solutions (e.g., GCP AutoML, Azure AutoML) do not count as ML experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Knowledge of distributed LLM training optimization (e.g., DeepSpeed, QAT, model parallelization).
• Familiarity with cloud-based training solutions (e.g., Vertex AI, SageMaker).

Reporting & Team Collaboration

• You will report to the Head of ML.
• Work alongside data engineers, ML engineers, and backend software engineers.
