Head of GC/ Legal

Morgan Philips is partnered with market leading Conglomerate (primarily manufacturing) hiring a Head of Legal/ General Counsel. You will be leading a team of 7 to:

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement legal strategies aligned with the company's goals.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Manage legal due diligence for business ventures and negotiate contracts.
• Provide ongoing legal support for various corporate functions, including governance, compliance, IP, and regulatory matters.
• Protect and defend the company's intellectual property.
• Oversee legal aspects of employee disputes and investigations.
• Lead and mentor a team of legal professionals.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure compliance.
• Build relationships with external legal counsel and regulators.

Requirements:

• At least 15 years of legal experience, with a focus on corporate law and compliance.
• Experience in a reputable law firm or in-house legal department
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks like GDPR and ABAC.
• Strong understanding of corporate, securities, and emerging regulatory laws.
• Proven leadership skills and experience managing legal teams.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Chinese language contract experience is a plus.
• Flexibility and willingness to handle diverse legal portfolios
