Senior Systems Engineer (Infrastructure & Security)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer to design, implement, and support infrastructure, cloud, and networking environments, with a strong focus on security. This role is part of a global technology function, working closely with counterparts in other international locations to ensure robust and high-quality technical support across the business.

Infrastructure:

Design and build servers in line with internal platform standards.

Monitor and respond to server and network issues to ensure optimal performance.

Manage patching and Group Policy.

Build and provide support for endpoints.
Security:

Install and manage security software, including Microsoft Defender and Sentinel.

Monitor and analyze network traffic for threats or anomalies.

Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability scans.
-
Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents.
-
Stay informed on evolving cybersecurity threats and trends.

Develop and maintain IT security policies and procedures.

Track and identify emerging compliance requirements.

Guide staff on cybersecurity best practices.

Oversee IT risk assessments and mitigation activities.

Collaborate across teams to ensure secure and compliant IT solutions.
Additional Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with change management processes.

Provide occasional support to the Service Desk.

Assist in server and communication project planning and delivery.

Manage external vendor and support partner relationships.

Provide mentorship and direction to junior Systems Engineers.
Skills & Experience

Proven experience in an IT Infrastructure role with hands-on exposure to Microsoft Defender, Intune, and Sentinel.

Demonstrated expertise in cloud security and risk management.

Strong knowledge of networking, firewalls, and security protocols.

Proficiency with Nutanix Hyperconverged solutions and Microsoft SQL.

Familiarity with IT risk frameworks and compliance practices.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.

Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

Certifications such as SC200, SC300, SC400, SC900, and AZ-500 are a plus.
