Responsibilities:
- Entering financial data and transactions into the ledger and perform periodic closing
- Preparing recurring journal entries
- Handling fixed assets
- Reviewing financial documents for accuracy and reconciling accounts
- Analyzing financial data and support in providing financial recommendations; explaining monthly variances on the cost and balance sheet accounts
- Ensuring financial records comply with regulatory standards
- Generating financial reports or support during that process. The exemplary reports are: group financial statements, statutory financial statements, tax calculations
- Collaborating with other departments to complete accurate records and provide accounting support
- Preparing or support with producing the tax reports (VAT, income tax, other) or gathering tax documents
- Support of the Audit (providing documents, explanations, account schedules) and other financial professionals in their duties as needed
- A good understanding of financial accounting principles and standards, experience from the GL accounting.
- Proficiency in preparing and presenting accurate and timely financial reports and a good understanding of how the GL process supports the overall reporting.
- Experience in producing the financial statements
- Familiarity with financial systems and experience in maintenance of accounting and reporting systems.
