Summary:
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned executive with a proven track record of success in driving operational excellence and leading high-performing teams within the life sciences industry. The COO will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the company.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee Day-to-Day Operations:
  o Direct and manage all aspects of company operations, including research and development, manufacturing, finance, marketing, and sales.
  o Ensure the timely execution of key operational objectives and milestones.
  o Monitor and control company performance against key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Financial Management:
  o Oversee financial planning and budgeting processes.
  o Monitor cash flow and manage financial resources effectively.
  o Ensure compliance with all financial reporting and regulatory requirements.
• Team Leadership:
  o Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing cross-functional team.
  o Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
  o Oversee talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies.
• Strategic Planning:
  o Assist in the ongoing development and execution of the company's strategic plan.
  o Identify and evaluate new opportunities for growth and expansion.
  o Monitor the competitive landscape and adapt strategies accordingly.
• Stakeholder Management:
  o Maintain strong relationships with investors, partners, and other key stakeholders.
  o Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
  o Effectively communicate the company's progress and achievements to internal and external audiences.
• Succession Planning:
  o Actively participate in the search for a permanent CEO.
  o Mentor key members of the leadership team to ensure a smooth transition.

Qualifications:
• Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., MBA, Ph.D. in life sciences, or a related field).
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in the life sciences industry, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in diagnostics, therapeutics, medical devices.
• Skills:
  o Proven ability to lead and manage high-performing teams in a fast- paced and dynamic environment.
  o Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
  o Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  o Strong strategic planning and problem-solving abilities.
  o Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in early-stage company development and fundraising.
