We’re seeking an experienced Director of Legal for a large-size tech, electronics company. This position will report to the CEO and supervise multiple legal teams in Asia. Holding a US-attorney license will be required.

Responsibilities
- Lead the Legal department to ensure that organizational legal matters are managed properly, efficiently and that the relevant stakeholders are shared and given proper advice and guidance.
- Responsible for handling legal disputes within and outside the company, including litigation and non-litigation cases; reviewing various contracts and legal documents, providing legal opinions, and conducting legal risk assessment and control.
- Assisting in legal affairs of overseas locations, including cross-border contract review, local regulatory compliance, and communication and coordination with legal advisors.
- Management and personnel training of the legal team and establishing team expertise and learning mechanisms.
- Provide legal expertise and advice on issues arising from actual or anticipated lawsuits. Anticipate and guard against legal risks facing the company.
- Coordinate with top management to ensure all contractual matters are handled in a timely and cost-effect manner and that processes and procedures will be developed and applied consistently.
Requirements
- 12+ years of relevant experience.
- A US-licensed Attorney
- Minimum 3 years in senior leadership role such as Director/Head of Counsel, supervising more than one team in a regional/international scale
- Has the ability to evaluate and weigh all legal aspects and / or situation, and be able to provide sound solutions, with the ultimate aim of protecting the legal rights of the organization.
- Ability to identify and analyze complex issues / problems in management areas and recommend and implement solutions.
- Ability to manage the department efficiently, maintain good interpersonal relations and communications with lawyers and support staff.
