🔧 Responsibilities – ESS Hardware System Design 

  1. Design and develop hardware systems for Energy Storage Systems (ESS), including: 

    • High-voltage battery pack systems 

    • Power Conversion Systems (PCS), DC/DC converters, and high-voltage distribution systems 

    • High-voltage safety components (e.g., contactors, fuses, circuit breakers) 

    • Thermal management solutions (active and passive cooling) 

  2. Collaborate with EMS software teams to ensure hardware compatibility with ESS and PCS systems. 

  3. Develop communication interfaces for system integration, supporting protocols such as: 

    • Modbus 

    • CAN 

    • Ethernet 

  4. Conduct system-level validation testing, including: 

    • Thermal performance 

    • Electrical reliability 

    • Mechanical robustness 

  5. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards: 

    • Grid code requirements 

    • EMI/EMC regulations for power grid integration 

  6. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues in both lab and field environments. 

  7. Create and maintain documentation for: 

    • Hardware designs 

    • Validation procedures 

    • Test results
