Key Responsibilities
- Provide top-tier support for customer projects in Asia, resolving technical issues and ensuring successful integration of IP and product solutions.
- Maintain an ISO-9001 certified lab in Taiwan.
- Uphold lab processes according to internal standards.
- Interface with technology vendors to manage calibration and maintenance cycles of lab equipment.
- Handle OEM/ODM requests for pre-compliance testing during EVT/DVT/PVT stages and generate corresponding test reports.
- Conduct compliance testing on reference boards from strategic technology partners that include relevant products.
- Perform compliance and regression testing on products and evaluation kits.
- Participate in industry events organized by standards bodies such as PCI-SIG and USB-IF.
- Monitor evolving standards and test software developments to ensure products are certified against the latest test cases and automation software.
- Maintain strong relationships with test labs, tool providers, and test equipment vendors in Taiwan.
- Collaborate closely with labs in Europe.
- Host key customer debugging and bring-up sessions in the lab to facilitate their transition to mass production.
Skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with various internal teams, including Hardware and Software Engineering, Systems, Field Applications Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.
- Strong communication skills, comfortable engaging at all levels within internal teams and customers’ organizations.
- Proven track record in supporting complex customer designs from concept to mass production.
- A strong team player and practical problem solver with a hands-on approach.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience engaging with standards bodies (e.g., USB-IF) to drive improvements and engineering changes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a passion for solving customer problems collaboratively.
- Comfortable interacting with major electronics OEMs and ODMs in the consumer electronics market.
- Familiarity with SerDes, USB3, USB4, PCIe, DDR, or other high-speed communication protocols is advantageous.
- Capable of managing multiple concurrent projects in a high-end consumer electronics test and manufacturing environment.
- Ability to create and manage test plans, cases, and procedures aligned with product goals while adapting them based on customer needs.
Experience
- Expertise in USB and PCIe compliance testing and associated test equipment.
- Direct experience interfacing with OEMs and ODMs to manage testing requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- In-depth knowledge of signal and power integrity design, layout, manufacturing practices, and testing.
- Proficiency with lab and debug equipment for analyzing high-speed signals, including oscilloscopes, BERT, VNA, current/voltage probes, AC/DC sources, and electronic loads.
- Understanding of customer manufacturing techniques, end-of-line testing, quality assurance, and acceptance testing in a high-end consumer electronics setting.
- Demonstrable expertise in high-speed signal circuit design, modeling, validation, and debugging.
- Experience in managing, mentoring, and leading technical teams.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience, including at least 3 years in a management role.
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams to enhance current solutions, develop IP, and influence product roadmaps.
- Provide technical expertise during pre- and post-sales engagements with field teams and customers across the product lifecycle.
- Develop customer-facing technical materials to support, demonstrate, evaluate, promote, and sell industry-leading connectivity products.
- Management and mentoring of test and/or applications engineers is beneficial but not essential.
