Responsibilities
Requirement:
- Application of medicinal chemistry strategies across all AI-aided drug discovery stage, from pocket verification and hit identification, through lead optimization to clinical candidate selection.
- Utilize the molecular modeling tools and in-house algorithms in drug design projects and help with the workflow optimization.
- Collaborate with medicinal chemists, structural biologist and AI research scientist and support them with SAR analysis.
- Manage and track the progress of FTE of synthetic CRO to make sure the internal and external projects work well.
- Demonstrate the ability to resolve key project hurdles and assumptions by effectively utilizing available information and technical expertise in an efficient and timely manner.
Requirement:
- PhD in the fields of synthetic chemistry.
- Minimum 2 years industry experience in advancing compounds through drug discovery process to identify clinical candidates and able to work well across multi-functional groups, including AI, molecular dynamics, cheminformatic expert.
- Experience in synthetic methods development, route design, target-oriented synthesis, chemical biology and basic bioassay principle.
- Familiar with the concepts of structure-based and/or ligand-based drug discovery methods, including molecular docking, virtual screening, QSAR, pharmacophore models, etc.
- Having basic knowledge/skill for drug discovery software platform, such as MOE, PyMOL, Schrödinger, Autodock is plus.
- Proactively shares expertise and ideas, demonstrates flexibility and open-mindedness.
