Key Responsibilities:
Category Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and execute category strategy that drives retail sales and aligns with sales goal.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to set clear goals and regularly evaluate performance results.
- Work with vendors and suppliers to come out a diverse and high-quality product lines that meets customer needs, driving retail sales performance.
- Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify gaps and opportunities within the category, making informed product selection decisions.
- Set up pricing strategies that enhance retail sales, ensure competitive pricing, and maximize profitability.
- Plan and execute promotional activities, such as discounts and deals, to increase customer engagement and drive revenue growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with identified vendors, utilizing negotiation skills to secure advantageous contracts for competitive deals.
- Oversee vendor and supplier performance, collaborating with the Operations Team to address issues and ensure quality standards are met.
- Lead and manage a team of category and product manage. Providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to enhance team management skills.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the category team, driving employee engagement and growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in BA, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Proven experience in category management, product management, or similar roles within the FMCG, Retail or e-Commerce industry.
- Strong retail sales acumen, with a track record of driving sales growth and achieving targets.
- Exceptional negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to secure favorable terms with vendors.
- Proven team management skills (5+ years in managerial position), with experience in leading high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, capable of translating insights into actionable plans.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proficient in data analysis tools and Microsoft Office 365.
