We are seeking a Senior Director, BU Head for an international company that designs and manufacturers mechanical and metal structural parts, for use in computers, communications, and consumer electronics. The candidate will report to the COO, lead a multi-cultural organization (~2,000 employees) and be accountable for the profit & loss of this business unit. Working location is open.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Lead, manage, and develop the Business Unit operated across several manufacturing sites which include the functions of Sales/BD, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain Management, and Human Resources.    
  • Provide operational leadership, including strategic planning, resources allocation, budgeting, sales forecasting, ROI, and talent development.
  • Cultivate an environment of continuous improvement on Cost, Delivery, & Quality.
  • Create and implement winning sales strategies that align the company’s goals of growth and technical/operational resources. Look for new demands or opportunities of new markets, applications, and services.
  • Drive and maximize organizational efficiency. Collaborate closely with the leadership team and the functional leaders of the organization.  
  • Create and implement plans that successfully maintain key performance indicators related to business objectives, profitability, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction to increase retention and referrals to drive repeat sales.
 
Requirements:
  • Familiar with the engineering processes of injection molding, surface treatment, stamping, cold forging, sanding, polishing, mirror surface lapping, 3-D lapping, laser etching, anodizing, laser welding, glueing and melding.
  • 15~25 years of combined working experience in the relevant industries, with the recent job responsibilities of managing a Business Unit and/or leading cross-functional teams  within a large organization.   
  • Strong working knowledge of the OEM/ODM or Contract Manufacturing business models within the IT, Computers, or Consumer Electronics industry sectors.
  • Proven track records of successfully heading an organization (>1,000 employees) that exceeds the business targets. A team player who can thrive in helping corporate and client succeed. Able to work in a fast- paced and dynamic working environment. 
  • Client interfacing experience is a must.
  • Can conduct frequent business travels for both domestic and international flights (70%+) and/or adopt relocations when necessary.
  • Mandarin speaking is a must. Ideally is able to use English for all the business meetings and discussions. Good communications and interpersonal skills.
