Position Summary
A critical leadership role responsible for end-to-end operational execution for company’s specialty sports group business globally, with direct accountability for all manufacturing operations in the Asia Pacific region. This role will serve as a key strategic partner to the President, helping to translate business strategy into world-class execution across global business operations.In Asia Pacific, this role will directly lead all manufacturing operations, including multi-site production, supply chain management, quality assurance, and regional expansion initiatives. Globally, this role will drive operational excellence across the business - partnering cross-functionally to ensure that global functions and sites are aligned, efficient, and scalable to meet the business unit’s commercial, innovation, and growth goals.
Position Responsibilities
Global Operations Leadership- Partner closely with the President to define and execute operational strategies that support growth, innovation, and customer satisfaction globally.
- Collaborate with senior leaders across the business to ensure operational alignment with business unit and company-wide priorities.
- Contribute to long-term planning, organizational design, and capability building with the global operations function.
- Lead strategic initiatives that expand operational capacity, reduce cost, and improve responsiveness across the bike business.
- Lead multi-site manufacturing operations across the Asia Pacific region, ensuring world-class execution across quality, delivery, cost, and safety.
- Oversee all regional plant operations and cross-functional functions including QA/QC, quality systems, customer operations, production planning, procurement, logistics, and EHS.
- Ensure alignment of operational activities with global business priorities and growth strategy.
- Oversee direct and indirect material sourcing strategies in the region; drive supplier performance, development, and resilience in partnership with Sourcing.
- Champion a best-in-class procurement model that balances quality, agility, and cost-efficiency.es.
- Drive site selection, setup, and operationalization of new manufacturing locations in Asia Pacific.
- Lead capital project execution, organizational ramp-up, and cross-functional alignment for new market entry initiatives.
- Build and inspire a high-performance operations team through strong leadership, coaching, and accountability.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and ethical business practices.
Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:
- Deep expertise in end-to-end supply chain management, quality systems, lean manufacturing, and supplier development.
- Proven ability to support complex product portfolios across multiple business units.
- Demonstrated success leading multi-country operations and new manufacturing site development in Asia.
- Strong executive presence, cross-cultural fluency, and exceptional stakeholder influence skills.
- Strong personal integrity and data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity while balancing strategic and tactical priorities.
- Exceptional communicator and cross-functional collaborator across cultures and geographies.
- Respected people leader who develops talent, drives accountability, and builds trust.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA or advanced degree.
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in global or regional manufacturing roles, preferably in consumer products, or advanced manufacturing environments.
- International experience strongly preferred.
