Job Title: R&D Manager (Talent Succession Plan)
Reporting to: R&D Director
Location: Taiwan
 
Our client is a world famous Multinational Food and Beverage Group with footprint across the globe. Through their innovative and premium quality products, they have earn a positive reputation amongst the consumers and within the industry. In the past decades, the company has successfully penetrate various markets and is seeking to drive sustainable expansion through innovation and dedication. They are now seeking a dedicated R&D Manager to lead their large R&D team focusing on the international Markets. This role will be part of the Corporation's talent succession plan, trained and developed to become the next R&D Director of the company.  
 
Responsibilities
  • To strategize, develop and oversee plans of the R&D team to ensure projects complete successfully in accordance with the strategic plan and roadmaps
  • To explore new technologies and approaches, access the feasibilities of innovations and keeping up-to-date with the current market trend
  • Lead and set project priorities, oversee the R&D resource allocation and ensure projects operate effectively and efficiently.
  • To lead a team of 10, to be an influential and proactive leader, provide support and mentorship, to groom and develop talents internally, recommend promotion when applicable, provide support when needed and therefore ensure talent retention.
  • To actively ensure compliance in various aspects and work closely with other departments to ensure premium product quality and positive customer satisfaction.
 
Desired Profile
  • Ideal talent should have PhD in Food Science, Chemistry or related disciplines with foundation in chemistry or biology at the Master’s/Bachelor degree level
  • At least 8 years of experience in R&D roles and food product development with commercialization experience coming from a reputable international Food and Beverage manufacturer
  • Charismatic and confident personality with ability to influence. An effective communicator and a team-player who can lead and mentor team members for internal development
  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English is a must.
