FMCG Multinational company is searching for a Sales Manager for Retail Channel

Main functions/responsabilities:

  • Develop and implement country commercial strategy and lead the development of customers Account Plans
  • Lead Customer Contract Negotiation strategy, implementation and tracking, including annual negotiation, and store investments
  • Ensure maximum payback in all the T&C investments influencing positively the store variables (Weighted Distribution, NPD implementation, Promo Pressure, SOS, Secondary Display, End of Aisle)
  • Manage a Pricing Strategy across Customers which ensures distribution and Customer margin
  • Contribute to the setting of and achievement of the annual sales and margin targets
  • Manage the Volume, Net Sales and Margin targets on a monthly base 
  • Monitor competitors and their customer/product portfolio
  • Supervise Demand Planning, monthly forecast and weekly changes to forecast, in order to secure a high customer service level and to efficiently respond to customers requests 
  • Ensure proper development and efficient implementation of brands promotional plan
  • Work closely with the Finance to ensure minimum DSO and account receivables reconciliation
  • Supervise external sales team (GPVs) to ensure maximum return on investment
  • Develop Customer Development team for both Direct and Indirect Trade

Candidate Profile

  • Degree in Business Administration, Economics or Marketing (preferably);
  • Fluency in English, also appreciated additional knowledge in Portuguese, French or Italian
  • Financial proficiency and P&L management experience
  • Leadership, pro-active and high interpersonal skills
  • Dynamically oriented to results with strong ownership and doer
  • Person who makes things happen in an organized and structured way
  • Cope with significant amount of workload and projects
  • Minimum 10years working experience Sales in FMCG (both Direct/Modern and Indirect/Traditional Trade)
  • Marketing or Trade Marketing experience is highly valued;
  • Knowledge of the home and / or personal care industry
