Senior Project Manager - Pre-Filled Syringe Technology (m/f/d)

Our client, a well-established international pharmaceutical company, is seeking a seasoned professional to take technical leadership in establishing a new production line for pre-filled syringes. This role offers a high degree of autonomy and impact, particularly suited for candidates with a strong background in sterile production technologies and a drive to shape complex implementation projects from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, implementation, and qualification of a state-of-the-art production line for pre-filled syringes.

• Oversee process design, equipment specification, and coordination with internal and external partners across all project phases.

• Ensure seamless technology transfer and scale-up from development to commercial production.

• Act as the primary technical authority for PFS filling, device assembly, and integration of associated automation systems.

• Ensure full compliance with GMP and other applicable regulatory frameworks; contribute to audit readiness and documentation.

• Serve as an internal consultant to cross-functional teams including production, engineering, quality, and regulatory affairs.

• Support international collaboration by providing expertise across the company’s global network.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or related field; advanced degree (MSc/PhD) preferred.

• Significant experience (ideally 5+ years) in the field of pre-filled syringes or related aseptic manufacturing technologies.

• Demonstrated success in leading major pharmaceutical production projects, particularly involving sterile dosage forms.

• Familiarity with the technical and regulatory requirements of parenteral manufacturing, device integration, and aseptic processing.

• Strong project management skills, combined with hands-on technical expertise and a solution-oriented mindset.

• Fluent in English; German language skills are advantageous.

• Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe and beyond.
