2. Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analysis to provide insights into the company's financial performance. Monitor key financial metrics and trends, identify areas of improvement, and recommend corrective actions.
3. Risk Management: Assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Implement robust internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with financial regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
4. Cash Flow Management: Optimize cash flow through effective treasury management, including cash forecasting, working capital management, and risk assessment. Identify opportunities to improve liquidity and minimize financial risks.
5. Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes. Collaborate with department heads to develop realistic financial plans, track performance against targets, and provide accurate financial projections.
6. Financial Operations: Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and financial systems. Ensure accurate and timely financial transactions, adherence to accounting principles, and efficient processes.
7. Capital Investment Analysis: Evaluate investment opportunities, conduct financial due diligence, and assess potential returns. Provide financial analysis and recommendations for capital allocation, including expansion plans, mergers and acquisitions, and new market entry.
8. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with executives, board members, and external stakeholders on financial matters. Effectively communicate financial insights, performance updates, and recommendations to support informed decision-making.
9. Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing finance team. Mentor, coach, and develop finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA qualification is highly desirable.
- Proven experience as a CFO or a senior finance executive in the retail/luxury sector.
- In-depth knowledge of retail and luxury industry dynamics, including market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape.
- Strong financial acumen with a track record of driving financial growth and profitability.
- Proficiency in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to effectively engage and influence stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
