Mission:
The mission of the Plant Director is to define, plan, direct, and coordinate all production activities, as well as manage the following teams within the factory: production, supply chain, quality, maintenance, safety, and manufacturing engineering. This role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in managing large teams, negotiating with unions and works councils, and driving organizational changes that optimize productivity and supply chain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Within the factory, the Plant Director will:
- Implement the industrial strategy defined by the company.
- Direct/indirect hierarchical management of large teams. Directly oversee a team of at least 150 employees, providing leadership, guidance, and motivation to achieve plant objectives.
- Lead negotiations with unions, works councils, and other employee representative bodies, fostering a positive labor relations environment.
- Collaborate with the senior management team to develop and execute the plant's strategic plans, aligning with the company's overall business objectives.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess plant performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Be responsible for maintaining high levels of quality, meeting delivery deadlines, optimizing production capacity, efficiency, and productivity.
- Oversee supply chain activities within the plant, ensuring efficient material flow, inventory management, and coordination with suppliers and customers.
- Drive organizational change initiatives to optimize productivity, enhance operational efficiency, and improve overall plant performance.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards, promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation within the plant, encouraging open communication and teamwork.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field. A Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Engineering Management is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in plant management within an industrial setting, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Extensive experience in managing complex production processes within the metal industry, including familiarity with metal fabrication, machining, and finishing operations.
- Proven experience leading large teams of 150+ employees, driving engagement and performance.
- Demonstrated experience negotiating with unions, works councils, and other employee representative bodies.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management, including inventory control, logistics, and production planning.
- Track record of successfully leading organizational change initiatives, with a focus on productivity optimization and process improvements.
- Very high proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is mandatory. Must be able to effectively communicate complex ideas, negotiate at high levels, and interact with international stakeholders.
