(Sr.) Software QA Engineer, Windows

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the software development team to verify software deliverables and troubleshoot customer-reported issues.

• Perform release testing, analyze test results, identify failures, and raise detailed defect reports.

• Replicate customer issues to support faster resolution and improve product quality.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in testing on Windows-based operating systems.

• Familiarity with software QA methodologies and defect reporting/tracking tools.

• Understanding of Windows driver enumeration, Device Manager, and Windows Registry.

• Knowledge of Microsoft HLK (Hardware Lab Kit) testing concepts.

• Hands-on experience with driver debugging tools such as WinDbg and Driver Verifier.

• Proven experience in executing test plans and writing test cases.

• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication, teamwork, and reporting abilities.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in designing and implementing test cases for Windows OS environments.

• Familiarity with automation scripting tools such as PyAutoGUI, AutoIt, or AutoHotkey.

• Experience with Windows Installer and package installation processes.

• Familiarity with source code management tools (e.g., Git).

• Knowledge of audio and/or wireless communication standards is a plus.

• Experience working directly with external customers and third-party vendors.
