MAKING SUCCESS STORIES HAPPEN

Job Summary:
A global leader in power semiconductor solutions is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to join its product engineering team. This role focuses on solid state relay (SSR) and power IC products. The successful candidate will be an integral part of a global team, working collaboratively across departments to ensure high-performance, quality, and yield standards throughout the product lifecycle.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform statistical data analysis to identify root causes of yield issues during wafer fabrication, assembly, testing, and product design.

  • Define and lead containment actions with process and quality engineers to ensure continuous customer supply while driving root cause analysis and corrective actions.

  • Coordinate physical failure analysis with relevant teams to determine hardware-related root causes of product failures and assess improvement opportunities.

  • Represent product engineering in new product and process development projects, ensuring production requirements are met for performance, quality, and yield.

  • Lead product launch activities at wafer fabs and assembly/test sites for both new and transferred products.

  • Evaluate the cost, quality, and yield implications of product change requests during both development and manufacturing phases.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional experts to identify and implement cost reduction and quality improvement initiatives.

Essential Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field.

  • Solid knowledge of statistical analysis methods; Six Sigma Green Belt certification is a plus.

  • Basic understanding of power semiconductor physics and device principles.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, assembly, or packaging.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Proven problem-solving skills and familiarity with root cause analysis methodologies.

  • Hands-on experience with electrical testing of semiconductor products (preferably including ICs and power devices).

Key Attributes:

  • Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills across local and global teams.

  • Hands-on and creative approach to problem-solving.

  • High level of motivation to lead initiatives to completion.

  • Ability to think cross-functionally and identify both design and process issues.

  • Structured and process-oriented working style with a focus on documentation.

  • Eagerness to learn, innovate, and grow beyond current responsibilities.
