Sr. System Engineer (Wireless)

What you'll do:

• Bring up the WiFi/BT system on new devices and lead debugging and performance tuning exercises involving multiple hardware, firmware, and software teams.
• Integrate and maintain 3rd-party drivers and services for efficient operation within constrained environments, meeting industry connectivity, reliability, and security requirements.
• Define power and performance management strategies and optimize them accordingly.
• Collaborate closely with QA staff to ensure the creation, maintenance, and execution of appropriate test cases.
• Analyze bug reports and oversee the defect resolution process, including disposition issues, resolving issues, and reporting issue status.
• Engage with global teams, demonstrating excellent communication skills to provide support information.
• Assist in ensuring the quality and timeliness of product/feature development, maintaining accurate records to comply with company and government standards and/or regulations.
• Proactively solve problems, working both independently and within a team environment, with minimal guidance.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of WiFi/BT system engineering experience in embedded systems.
• Experience working with microcontrollers.
• Proficiency in C/C++.
• Knowledge of WiFi/BT regulatory requirements.
• Degree in CS, CE, EE, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience adding, monitoring, and parsing telemetry data to proactively resolve issues.
• Fluent in English (both spoken and written).

Nice to have:

• Experience with WiFi/BT stacks and development tools from Qualcomm or other vendors.
• Knowledge of EMV.
• Familiarity with cryptography, including symmetric, asymmetric, key management, and exchange.
• Experience with POS hardware and peripherals.
• Knowledge and expertise in PCI technology, transaction processing, and related retail standards.
