Compliance Officer F/M - Banking sector

We are currently seeking a meticulous and knowledgeable Compliance Officer with expertise in regulatory affairs to join the compliance team and work closely with the Head of Compliance of the bank. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the institution's adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and oversee compliance policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and internal standards.
• Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and reviews to identify potential areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor regulatory developments and updates, assess their impact on the organization, and ensure timely implementation of necessary changes.
• Provide expert guidance and advice to internal stakeholders on compliance matters, including regulatory interpretations, reporting obligations, and compliance training.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the compliance implications of new products, services, and business initiatives.
• Coordinate and support regulatory examinations, audits, and inquiries, including the preparation of documentation and responses as needed.
• Maintain comprehensive records of compliance activities, including risk assessments, audit findings, and corrective actions taken.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in compliance management, regulatory technology, and financial crime prevention.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CRCM, CAMS) is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or related roles within the banking or financial services industry.
• Fluent in English & French
