Legal Advisor - U.S. market F/H - International Logistics Company

On behalf of a leading Logistics company with offices based in Luxembourg city, we are recruiting a Legal Advisor who will deal with the U.S. market and more specifically with U.S-based contracts. 

The team is Luxembourg is composed with 12 people and you will report directly to the Chief Risk Officer based in Luxembourg.

On top of dealing with contracts as your main point of focus (50% of your workloard), you will :

• Advise the company during the negotiations in order to clarify the major risks involved and the ways to avoid or mitigate such risks.
• Advise on legal risks, compliance, and dispute resolution strategies.
• Ensure legal accuracy of documents in collaboration with external counsel (Houston).
• Create and manage contract templates, policies, and standard terms.
• Oversee legal aspects of business operations, from negotiation to execution.
• Manage external legal partners for cost-effective and strategic support.
• Stay ahead of legal trends impacting the business.

On top of that, you will annually travel to Houston. 

Profile :

• Ideally a knowledge of U.S. law (especially commercial/corporate)
• Fluency in English is mandatory. Languages such as French, Dutch, Spanish and Portuguese are considered as important assets ;
• Legal qualification, with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar position ; 
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills ;
• Own a dynamic personality with a can do and hands on attitude; you must be solution oriented ;
