NAV fund controller - In-house F/M (German speaker)

Our client is an investment firm specializing in both traditional and alternative investments. The Luxembourg entity is a human sized team mainly composed of professionals in Finance, Portfolio Management, Tax, Risk, Compliance, ESG experts.
We are looking for an experience Fund accountant to join their team. This is a newly created position designed to strengthen their operations. The ideal candidate will be fluent in German, as their headquarters are in Germany and most communications will be conducted in German. The Fund accountant will focus primarily on alternative funds, while also supporting their traditional investment operations.
 
Location: Luxembourg City. Remote work permitted within legal limits of cross-border agreements
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Control NAV calculations for AIF/SICARS (not AIFMD regulated)
• Coordinate NAV calculation of illiquid AIF and associated SPVs
• Coordinate annual financial statements with auditors and service providers for illiquid AIFs and associated funds and SPVs
• Execution of funds control and invoices
• Ad hoc projects

 
Requirements:

• Bachelor or Master degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
• Several years of experience in the fund industry, preferably with an accounting background
• Experience working in Luxembourg is a significant advantage.
• Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken).
• Excellent coordination and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
