This role is responsible for the cost-effective procurement of raw materials while ensuring quality standards and full compliance with company policies and procedures. A key focus of the role includes identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and securing the most cost-efficient deals to support business objectives.

Reports functionally to the Director of Procurement and Supply Chain
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including pre-qualification, supplier negotiations, contract preparation, and spot buying.
- Develop annual procurement plans aligned with forecasted demand for products and services.
- Continuously identify opportunities for performance improvement and cost optimization.
- Identify and assess potential new suppliers while nurturing strong relationships with existing partners.
- Conduct market research to identify the best suppliers and products based on cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Monitor contracts and their execution, ensuring service quality, cost control, and timely invoice/payment management.
- Act as a key liaison between suppliers, manufacturers, internal departments, and customers.
- Track and forecast pricing trends and assess their impact on procurement strategy.
- Evaluate supplier financial stability and potential risks.
- Deliver market intelligence and drive sustainable cost-saving initiatives.
- Review bids and make informed recommendations based on both commercial and technical evaluations.
Qualifications & Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent education).
- Proven negotiation skills with a strong commercial mindset.
- Entrepreneurial approach with a drive for innovation and efficiency.
- Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
- Proficient in IT tools relevant to procurement and supply chain functions.
- Comfortable managing a broad portfolio of projects and priorities.
- Ambitious and motivated to grow within the organization.
