Senior Accountant (F/M) - DE - International Company

Our client, headquartered near the French border, is an international company that operates in 47 countries. We seek a Senior Accountant to work closely with the Head of Accounting and promote financial excellence.
 
Primary duties and responsibilities:

• Day-to-day Accounting: Manage the accounting processes for the International Headquarters, ensure meticulous record maintenance, and prepare year-end financial statements following Lux GAAP standards.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review interim accounts as required and assist with monthly Group reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
• VAT: To maintain our commitment to financial integrity, handle VAT declarations, ensure adherence to current regulations, and support external audits.
• Cash Management: Manage cash flow and assist in forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize financial processes, streamline workflows, and implement best practices to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

 
Qualifications:
 

• Ideally, 4 - 5 years of experience in accounting, mainly in Luxembourg. 
• Experience in Luxembourg is required.
• Experience in BIG 4 International Companies is a plus. 
• Knowledge of TAX rules.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
• Proficiency using SAGE BOB50 is an asset. 
• Strong communication skills in German (at least B2) and English are required. 
• Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with clients and colleagues, building strong working relationships.
