The Senior Director of EMEA Tax will play a strategic and hands-on role in managing all tax matters for the company’s business operations across the EMEA region. This leadership position involves overseeing the EMEA tax team, ensuring compliance, and driving key initiatives' planning, implementation, and defense.
Key Responsibilities:
Tax Advisory & Strategy:
- Lead tax support for EMEA business initiatives, transactions, product launches, and commercial arrangements.
- Developed and executed M&A tax strategies and integration plans for regional acquisitions.
- Drive EMEA tax planning, ensuring alignment with global priorities and regional nuances.
- Lead EMEA tax controversy strategy, including direct negotiations with tax authorities.
- Assess financial impacts and tax risks through advanced modeling and collaboration with external advisors.
- Oversee the preparation and filing of income tax returns in collaboration with local tax providers.
- Review local deliverables for the U.S. tax consolidation team to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of experienced tax professionals.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture, promoting collaboration and excellence.
- Partner with internal functions and external advisors to assess end-to-end tax impacts of global initiatives.
- Support the integration of acquisitions into the company’s tax structure.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of corporate tax experience, ideally with a multinational company.
- Expertise in EMEA tax planning, compliance, and controversy.
- Deep knowledge of OECD BEPS initiatives and global M&A integration.
- Strong communication, team leadership, and project management abilities.
- Strategic and solution-oriented thinker with advanced MS Office proficiency.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and excels in fast-paced settings.
- Skilled at simplifying complex tax issues into clear strategies.
- Fluent in English is required.
