Job Title: Director of Planning and Procurement
Location: Taipei, Taiwan

JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Planning and Procurement will oversee the supply planning process, purchasing, and supplier management functions within the organization. This role will work closely with teams in supplier quality, demand planning, and logistics to ensure smooth operations and the timely delivery of products.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement supply planning strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, and improve delivery performance.
• Manage the purchasing process, including negotiating contracts, placing purchase orders, and monitoring supplier performance.
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers, ensuring they meet quality standards and can support growth objectives.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with suppliers to assess performance, identify improvement opportunities, and strengthen relationships.
• Take end-to-end commercial responsibility for supplier relationships, ensuring all agreements align with business goals.
• Collaborate with the new product introduction (NPI) team to ensure suppliers are ready to support new product launches.
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
• At least 15 years of experience in supply planning, purchasing, and supplier management, preferably in the consumer electronics industry.
• Strong negotiation skills and a proven track record of managing supplier relationships.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Proficient in supply chain management software and tools.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin is required.
