Head of EPC - Solar Energy

Our client, a leading renewable energy company in Brussels, seeks a qualified Head of EPC to launch one of their subsidiary. 
 

Responsibilities:

• Project Development:
  • Design pre-feasibility studies and develop initial design plans.
  • Establish budgets and ensure cost control throughout projects.
• Procurement and Contracts:
  • Manage the purchase of necessary modules and components.
  • Negotiate, draft, and manage contracts with suppliers and SPVs (Project Companies), ensuring compliance and profitability.
• Quality and Safety:
  • Implement quality and safety controls in accordance with relevant standards and regulations (FAT, SAT, RGIE, CGO, etc.).
• Administration:
  • Handle EPC-specific administrative formalities, including insurance, safety coordination, check-in-at-work procedures, etc.
• Construction Site Supervision:
  • Oversee subcontracted tasks, including detailed engineering, construction site supervision, and implementation of professional monitoring systems.
• Maintenance and Repair:
  • Effectively manage spare parts to ensure minimal repair times and high equipment uptime.
  • Monitor and maintain critical equipment, including transformer tracking and maintenance.
• Certifications:
  • Obtain and maintain necessary certifications, such as ISO9001, ISO14001, AQPV, etc.

Profile required:

• Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in ground-mounted PV, with significant experience on projects over 1 MWp.
• Fluency in French and English.
• Proactive, entrepreneurial spirit.
• Ability to work autonomously while building and motivating a high-performance team.
