We are looking for a skilled and motivated Tax Specialist to join the treasury operations team for our client based in Łódź. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring tax compliance, managing tax processes, and maintaining accounting integrity, particularly in relation to VAT/GST in Poland and across the EMEA region. You will be working closely with internal teams and act as a trusted Business Partner to help streamline and optimize tax operations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee VAT/GST, ESL, and Intrastat processes for Poland and other EMEA countries.
• Manage the approval process for indirect tax returns, including EC Sales List, Purchase List, Intrastat reporting, and foreign tax returns.
• Ensure timely payments to authorities and handle corrections in VAT reporting or invoicing.
• Manage the fiscal change process, including collecting and raising fiscal change requests and monitoring user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Take action in monitoring and closing internal VAT-related controls, including reconciliation activities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in tax operations, with a strong focus on Polish VAT.
• Proficiency in English and Polish, both written and spoken.
• Experience with continuous process improvements in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and tax filing processes.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
